Custom Artwork is a unique way to express a memory, significant event, gift or special moment in your life. Each piece is hand crafted with your requirements and wishes in mind, and you are involved in the process from start to finish to ensure you are happy with the result. The process listed below can take as little as a week to a few months, depending on requirements, tweaks, and framing.

First step

Firstly, provide some insight into what you want the piece to represent - I love creating pieces that hold special meaning behind them. For example, tell me the story of how you and your partner met, your favourite holiday destination, or the story of your family tree - Is this a piece for yourself/your family, or a gift for someone, and does it represent a milestone, an anniversary or a special event? Do you want to incorporate any personal, meaningful features into the piece, for example, a lucky number, symbol, or a favourite colour? Provide some photos of the subject - Yourself, family, pets etc. Although my pieces are generally abstract and figurative - Photos are used to get a sense of shape and emotion behind the photos. If the piece represents ‘home’, a trip or a honeymoon, I will usually take spot colours from the photos and use these in the painting. eg - You and your partner took a road trip around the U.S, and watched the sunset across The Joshua Tree National Park… I will take those unique colours and incorporate them into the painting to capture that day. Or if the piece is about strength, love, or unity, we can use colours that represent all those traits. Even though the piece may be framed, we can also blend pure essential oils into the Acrylics for added depth and meaning, eg. depending on what the piece represents, Orange, Lime, Ylang Ylang, Australian Sandalwood and Neroli, can represent romance and passion.

Second Step

I’ll take away all the provided information and concept a few digital sketches for you to review. I’ll explain what each piece represents, explanation of colour theory behind the pieces, and why I chose those specific colours. You can then review the concepts, and we can work together to tweak or revise any elements you feel aren’t working. Once approved, I’ll then provide the final chosen concept, and a breakdown of the chosen colours, and how this will look when painted. We will discuss size, paper choice, and framing options during this step also.

Third Step

I’ll start painting the piece and provide some progress photos along the way, package and post!
